The days are flying by!

The 7th graders have finished reading Tom Sawyer already. I am amazed at how quickly they have gotten through it. The final test will be on Friday and they have already started work on their projects. Here is the information for their projects:

Tom Sawyer Project

Due: April 21st

1. Create a play about one of the chapters from Tom Sawyer. (You may use more than one chapter if you want.) You need to write out the script and then videotape it. All actors should be in costume (sort of) and the setting should be accurate. You must hand in a copy of the script, in ink or typed, with all characters listed and a video of your play. All members of the group must have a part in the play.

2. Create a book about Mark Twain and Tom Sawyer. You must have: 1 page biography on Mark Twain, draw 2 full page pictures of him, 1 page description of Tom, draw 2 full page pictures of him, 1 page description of Huck, draw 2 full page pictures of him, 1 page description of Aunt Polly, draw 1 full page picture of her, 1 page description of Sid, draw 1 full page picture of him, 1 page description of Injun Joe, draw 1 full page picture him, 1 page description of Muff Potter, draw 1 full page picture of him, 1 page description of Becky, draw 1 full page picture of her. All pictures need to be colored. All writing is double spaced, in ink or typed and it must have a cover.

You may work with a partner on this project. If you do the video, only the people who are in the group get credit, but you may have anyone else help out.

Due: April 21st

The Hannibal trip is scheduled for April 27th, permission slips will come home on Friday.
